As a business travel management company, we’re no strangers to long flights. But 16.5 hours? That’s quite a stretch! It got us thinking about how to best prepare for long-haul travel. We have some helpful tips from our team members: • Plan your seat: aisle vs window - definitely not the middle seat, because why would anyone do that to themselves. • Plan your flight: break down your time on the plane in chunks, whether it’s with work, an in-flight movie, a lengthy podcast. • Dress in layers: airplanes can be chilly, so wearing layers helps you stay comfortable. • Wear compression socks: these promote circulation and can reduce the risk of swelling or blood clots. • Take care of your health: drink lots of water, avoid alcohol, and bring your own healthy snacks! Last week I was fortunate enough to embark on a trip with my colleagues from across Canada and the US to Austin, Texas. This trip was made possible by Delta Air Lines and Sonesta Hotels and we were shown such warmth and hospitality from these two teams which made for such a memorable trip. We stayed at The Stephen F. Austin Royal Sonesta which just celebrated their 100th year. Such and amazing property with rich history. Thank you Tabitha James and Lori D. for your warm hospitality. We also visited the Sonesta Bee Cave offering stunning views and beautiful rooms, as well as Simply Suites & Extended Stay which has all of the amenities needed when travelling for business. Thank you Paul Connolly and gail branchini for your warm hospitality also and for an amazing dinner. Flying with Delta is such a breeze with your welcoming staff, spacious seats, and amenities like free wifi. Can't wait to travel with all of you again!
