Circa Sports has built a reputation as the sportsbook for sharper bettors, boasting the "industry's highest betting limits". CEO Derek Stevens told Covers during an exclusive sitdown at G2E that's while that's set to continue, Circa has plans to provide an offering more relative to what the average consumer wants. “I think our business model of working on a traditional basis of sides, moneylines, and totals, and in-game wagers is one thing, but there’s clearly a market where people want to have three-team to eight-team parlays that they can make quickly and easily. So we’re going to have to create this tech that has some of these more current market demands.” Full story by Geoff Zochodne

Alberta will be the second Canadian province to launch a competitive iGaming market after Ontario did so in April 2022. In an exclusive interview at #G2E last week, Covers sat down with Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction. Nally, who is overseeing the iGaming overhaul in Alberta, confirmed that a 2024 launch was no longer a possibility but hopes it will have happened by the time G2E rolls around next year. 'I can't tell you if it's going to be August, September, October, November but I'm pretty confident that we're going to be able to say in 2025 that we'll be able to offer a legal, regulated space for iGaming." First G2E in the books after an unforgettable week in Vegas meeting partners, agencies and old & new colleagues. The biggest takeaway of the week for me was just how much the Covers brand has grown within the space over the past few years. Multiple members of the team on the ground were told by senior industry and regulatory figures that not only are they aware of who we are, but that they are personal users of our product. A brilliant endorsement of the quality of our content, particularly our peerless industry news team - whose reporting was featured front and centre on-site by the American Gaming Association. Covers has turned 29! 🎉 On the day that it all began; - Cal Ripken Jr. (nearly) stole our thunder by breaking Lou Gehrig’s all-time consecutive games played streak. - Two-time MVP Shohei Ohtani was still in diapers in Oshu, Japan. - Google would not be founded for another three years (almost to the day) - It would be another six years until 2024 NFL Draft #1 pick Caleb Williams would even be born - Barack Obama was exactly 17 years away from accepting the Democratic nomination for President We're proud of the community we've built along the way and our longevity in the space, so here's to the best birthday present - the return of the NFL! ✨ #LoveWhereYouWork #CompanyCulture #SportsBetting #LegendSports #LifeAtLegend

European gaming operator and tech provider Soft2Bet is bringing its products across the Atlantic, beginning with Ontario later this year and New Jersey by 2025. Offering B2B and B2C products, they are looking to attract a new audience to its platforms which combine traditional sports bets and casino offerings with personalized “gaming narratives” that act like an interactive, customizable video game. Martin Collins, Chief Business Development Officer with Soft2Bet, walked Covers through his company’s business model, gameplay structure and plans to stay competitive in the growing North American gaming market. “My argument would be that as long as you have the product, as long as you have the features, and you provide something personalized, you can be successful. I don't see casinos, sportsbooks, and gamified sites as three separate experiences. I see them as actually being able to deliver one unified experience to each individual customer.” Full story by Ryan Butler https://lnkd.in/eeFt3Ysh
