As we celebrate International Development Week 2025, Modina’s journey is a powerful reminder of how global partnerships can break down systemic barriers and create lasting change. Her path from nurse to Principal of one of Dhaka’s largest nursing colleges began to transform in 2014 when she joined a leadership training program that equipped her with the tools to overcome those very barriers. #ProNurse, a Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada-funded initiative implemented by Cowater International, is building structured career paths, improving education, and raising professional recognition for nurses across Bangladesh.
