Application Spotlight | Battery Charging Stations 🔋 Safety is a priority when charging equipment powered by lead-acid batteries, like forklifts in warehouses. These batteries produce flammable hydrogen gas during charging, which can lead to serious risks like fires or explosions if not properly monitored. ➡️ Continuous hydrogen monitoring is crucial for preventing hazardous conditions ➡️ Sensors are installed near the ceiling, covering areas up to 5,000 ft² / 465 m² ➡️ A well-placed gas detection system ensures controlled ventilation and enhanced safety 🔗 Tap to learn more: https://buff.ly/4ewYqj7 #GasDetection | #CETCI | #BatteryCharging

Does room size dictate where gas detectors go? 💭 The truth is, it's not about room size—it’s about gas behavior. Different gases rise, sink, or disperse depending on their density and the environment. For example, hydrogen (H2) is lighter than air and rises, so detectors should be placed on or near the ceiling; whereas propane (C3H8) is heavier than air, so detectors should be placed near the floor. Proper gas detector placement is crucial for early detection and safety. Don’t think that placing detectors based on room size will protect your space—understanding gas properties and airflow is key! 🔗 Tap to find out more: https://buff.ly/3ZLV2fT #GasDetection | #MythvsFact | #CETCI
