Am always so happy to see the amazing people that are working for a better world... CSI was built for you!!
Young leaders from across Ontario, have you registered for our Youth Advisory Council's event for International Development Week yet? With workshops, discussions, panels, and networking sessions planned, this event promises to be incredibly productive and insightful. And now, we want you to meet Diego Arreola Fernández, Dhanvi Gahlawat, and Laura Hernandez – the incredible panelists who you can hear from this weekend. - A climate activist currently residing in Toronto, Diego cofounded Green Speaking, which empowers children and youth across the Global South to become leaders that promote climate action, sustainability, and environmental conservation throughout their communities. - Dhanvi is deeply invested in conservation and sustainable development, and is always seeking ways to inspire change. Through both collaboration and advocacy, she is committed to fostering a more conscious and sustainable world, where sustainability is a shared responsibility and a global priority. - An engaged environmental advocate, Laura is passionate about strengthening community resilience, promoting localization, and spreading hope. One of the founders of MealCare Ottawa, which works to redirect edible food waste to food-insecure communities, Laura prioritizes One Health solutions throughout her life and her work. Feeling excited, inspired, and motivated? We are! We can't wait to hear these three young leaders and changemakers this Saturday – and we hope you can join us! If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so here: https://lnkd.in/e4jTgZhX. Registration closes at midnight tonight! #Advocacy #Canada #Conference #Environmentalism #IDW2025 #InternationalDevelopment #JaneGoodall #Ontario #Sustainability #Toronto #YoungLeaders #YouthAdvisoryCouncil

If you know me, you know that I am the proudest mom that ever was. Annoyingly proud! My kids are amazing but truly they had the benefit of some of the most amazing education - empathy, failure, meditation, alternative education, global perspectives and massive creativity... those early years are so so important... Thats why we are so pleased to have the incomparable Jennifer Corriero hosting one of our very first Conversations that Matter exploring what social innovation has to offer the field of K-12 education. If we want a better future, we need to think clearly about what it should look like! Get your butts out of the house and join us in our new CCFE Salon and lets start having the conversations that matter!
Join us on March 19 for an intimate dinner as part of CSI's #ConversationsThatMatter series that will bring together educators, social innovators, and impact leaders to explore how we can foster well-being and social innovation in K-12 education. On behalf of LinkedIn’s broken AI, I’d like to apologize to job seekers who have wasted their time on AI-generated job posts that were neither created by nor affiliated with the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI). Apparently, LinkedIn is now scraping job listings from the internet—poorly—and assigning them to companies incorrectly, without permission and without an option to opt out. It’s heartbreaking to see the number of reported applicants rise when no real job exists. Job seekers can be in vulnerable situations, often spending hundreds of hours tailoring their résumés and cover letters in search of their next source of income. The least we can do is not waste their time with fake job postings.
