Cytochrome performs R&D in the field of microbial and geochemical carbon capture
About us
Cytochrome is a research organization with a mission to accelerate the weathering of ultramafic minerals to remove excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, recover valuable metals, and produce other commercially valuable products. We do this through a process known as Enhanced Weathering to capture carbon in various geological and biological reservoirs. Enhanced weathering is a nature-based negative emission approach which accelerates the weathering rate of naturally occurring minerals. We are conducting the R&D to implement the safe and effective application of large-scale Enhanced Weathering technologies to permanently capture and store atmospheric CO2.
