Hosted by the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce, our inaugural Young Professionals event was a resounding success, with close to 50 participants joining us for an evening of networking, learning, and fun! The event kicked off with a presentation by Marika Arovuo, President of the Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce, who introduced the concept and the organizing chambers, including the Swedish Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Danish Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Canada Finland Chamber of Commerce. Following this, Anna Pakina from Nokia provided an informative presentation about the company’s history and the exciting career opportunities they offer. Participants then heard interesting and inspiring stories from multiple current and former Nokia employees about their careers with the company, offering unique insights into the industry. In between sessions participants enjoyed delicious snacks, beer, wine, and soft drinks, creating a relaxed atmosphere for mingling and conversation. The evening wrapped up with an engaging session on networking skills by Rebecka Hornburg, helping our young professionals expand their connections and build valuable relationships. A big thank you to everyone who attended and made this event truly memorable.
