Had an incredible time at the NL Young Farmers Leadership Summit in Deer Lake! 🌱🌾 Huge thanks to the amazing farms who hosted us for tours and shared insights into their operations Wright's Family Farm, Birchbark Farm, Larch Grove Farm, Rideout's Farm Inc., and Cormack Bee Company Inc! I also had the chance to visit a few more farms on the way back home, Robbins Family Farm and Deep Roots Farm & Market. 🌾 Empowering the Future of Farming! 🌾 What an amazing time last Friday at the Young Farmers Roundtable with Minister MacAulay of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada/ Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada! We had the opportunity to connect with fellow farmers and industry leaders, talking about the unique challenges young farmers face here in Newfoundland & Labrador. From those carrying forward six generations of farming to the fresh faces just getting started, it's clear the future of farming is bright! 🌱 Huge thanks to Tonya Norman from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada/ Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada for organizing such a meaningful event, Lisa Davis of NL Young Farmers for all the support, and Joanne Thompson, Member of the House of Commons, for joining us.
