Our team was honored to attend Recovery Day Winnipeg last week at The Forks. For those unfamiliar, Recovery Day is a national movement committed to mobilizing and organizing Canadians in recovery from addiction and addiction-related problems. Their mission is to build awareness, challenge societal stigma, and celebrate the role that recovery plays in improving life for individuals, families, communities, cities, and countries. There was fantastic entertainment. resources, and just great vibes all day long. Thank you for having us!

Another generous monetary donation turned into water for the folks who need it most. 💙💚 The temperatures may not be quite as extreme, but we always need to help people stay hydrated no matter what time of year it is. We're also going to start needing warm clothes and other goods to keep people comfortable in the coming months. If you have a few dollars to spare, DCSP will turn it into the items that are needed the most. Please, give generously and support a vision of a healthy and vibrant downtown Winnipeg for all! As DCSP is a registered charity, tax receipts will be issued for all donations. https://lnkd.in/gy2jh-qN

Have you met members of our 'CONNECT' team walking around downtown? These team members are highly recognizable, approachable, and friendly! Their mandate is to engage with all community members, and they are trained to recognize community needs, introducing appropriate resources to those who need them. Say hello when you see them next! Smiles and waves go a long way to showing our teams how appreciated they are!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Grand Chief Cathy Merrick. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and the community she served with such dedication. As a courageous leader and advocate, she inspired us to listen more deeply and embrace the stories that shape us. Her legacy of fostering unity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Manitobans will continue to guide and inspire us all.

We want to send a MASSIVE thank you to Amie and her crew at The Community Gym for throwing an incredible eventin support of DCSP. They packed Blue Cross Park full for a group workout class on the field to raise funds for US! With generous support from Brite Water, Empty Cup COllective, Commonwealth Winnipeg, Drink Sense MB, and Lavanda Winnipeg it was a massive success and a ton of fun. Thank you all so, so much for what you do for our downtown community and for DCSP. 💚💙
