Q2 Dealmaking Data: A Glimpse into US Venture Momentum PitchBook just released its Q2 venture data—and while there was a slight uptick in deal count, the market is still far from a full recovery. Companies that raised capital two or three years ago are returning for follow-up financing rounds… but with VCs taking a slow, cautious approach, funding is still incredibly scarce. It’s important to note that deal counts have been lagging for two full years now. Most companies raise 18-24 months of runway at a time—which means there’s a huge bottleneck of companies that need funding right now. Founders who have been waiting for things to improve before raising again should consider adding an online capital raise to their growth strategy.
