Millions of visitors come to this region annually, and as a way of providing a traditional welcome to Mi’kmaw territory, the Nova Scotia Indigenous Tourism Enterprise Network has published a series of videos https://lnkd.in/emNqZ7dy The Welcome to Mi’kma’ki video series serves to educate visitors and locals, and we were honoured to partner with NSITEN on this work. We hope you enjoy them!
Our NSITEN organization is very pleased to have partnered with Discover Halifax to develop a series of our "Welcome to Mi'kma'ki" videos. We continue to share the ancient Indigenous cultural protocols of our people on our unceded, ancestral lands of the Mi'kmaq. For over 500 years, we have welcomed visitors to our shores and to our ancestral lands from around the world and we continue to welcome everyone today. PJI'LASI - WELCOME! These videos were made, in part, through support from the Innovation Fund through the Province of Nova Scotia, and were filmed and produced by Mirror Image Media. https://lnkd.in/guJpVRFG
