Great news from across the pond. #DiversityMakesBetterDecisions
Diversity makes better decisions because it benefits from wider perspective. Good on #australia for using tools, and providing tools, that will collectively help better their sport system. #communitysport #ItsTime #playgroundsbeforepodiums #ChampionChange Canadian Women & Sport | Femmes et sport au Canada - Done Differently

Thanks SMCC- Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada YVR for pulling together such an amazing event/discussion/gathering. And thank you to National Basketball Association (NBA) Canada and Victory Creative Group, Inc. for hosting us. It was so great to hear insight on enjoying localized success for a truly global brand like the NBA and what that means for partners like KOHO and Subway. #NBAHouse #MarketingWithCourage marketing #DoneDifferently
Great event and dialogue this evening!Seeing a truly global brand like the NBA and its partners succeed in regional markets is evidence that concerted effort to curate fandom at the local level pays off. Kudos to Leah MacNab and her team for having the courage to bring #NBAHouse, and all the other innovative activations they have done over the years, into markets that don’t have teams. And kudos also for teaming up with partners that enrich and bring success - Victory Creative Group, Inc., Subway, KOHO. Looking forward to the discussion next week and hope you'll consider joining if you are in 604. Keeping a national or international brand vibrant and engaging in the regional markets takes some thoughtful local activation and this panel is a great one to provide the insight. Come get #thescooponhoops !
Looking forward to helping moderate this discussion next week. A great panel hosted at a crazy cool activation site that speaks directly to the topic of telling a national story and ensuring it resonates locally. #sponsorshipmarketing #thescooponhoops SMCC- Sponsorship Marketing Council Canada Leah MacNab Mark Starkey Diane Bond Brittany Bell Betsy Cooper Colin Jarvis (He/Him) Scott Cunningham Melissa Airo Alexa Freudigmann https://lnkd.in/gmRckBpe

#MadeBetterbyBorrowing Could a capacity or resource challenge that your organization is facing be made easier by sharing a resource or template with a neighbouring organization in your sector? Simple question I know, but sometimes it gets lost and so I thought I'd shuffle it back to top of mind. #DoneDifferently Bill Cooper Laurel Douglas

As I seek my next chapter, I've been able to think about places where I've fallen down in the past. My latest observation is around prioritizing the people and pathways that will take you to your end goal when you are setting your annual objectives. Measuring success against profitability or growth alone is not enough. You need to measure your performance against nurturing your people and pathways to stand any chance of achieving your corporate objective(s). Which means those ingredients need to be adequately measured and prioritized. Sounds obvious, I know. But often I think disappointing organizational behaviour proves an inadequate focus on the people and pathways and an undue emphasis on profit and growth (or whatever your organization's equivalent objective may be). Keep your eyes on the road, enjoy the journey, nurture the pathway, and the destination will be that much more amazing when you get there. #DoneDifferently #PlaygroundsBeforePodiums #PeopleandPathways

In seeking my next chapter, I have struggled to know how to factor in and acknowledge the privilege that helped enable my career trajectory and learning. This latest post is about some of my musings on the delicate balance and need for a shift in prioritization. #DoneDifferently
