City planners and transportation professionals conduct sidewalk gap analyses to assess the connectivity of pedestrian infrastructure. This involves identifying where sidewalk segments don’t connect, abruptly stop, or are simply absent—issues that directly impact pedestrian mobility and safety. Our new blog explores how to use high-precision vector data to perform a GIS sidewalk gap analysis for active transportation planning, pedestrian right-of-way studies, and more. Discover: 🔍 What a sidewalk gap analysis entails 📍 Essential data for effective analysis 🛤️ Methodologies to enhance pedestrian mobility and safety Read it here: https://lnkd.in/geeXzC_A #TransportationPlanning #ActiveTransportation #GIS #UrbanPlanning #ADA #PedestrianSafety #AI

Geocoding is an essential geospatial function underpinning a variety of analytics applications, from property risk assessment to network planning to emergency response and more. The most precise geocoders pinpoint address locations using rooftops or building footprints, which are a more accurate representation of where a structure is located than traditional street or parcel centroid geocoding. Ecopia’s AI-based mapping systems produce the first and only complete map of US buildings, laying the foundation of our best-in-class geocoder. 💡Learn more about Ecopia AI’s Building-Based Geocoding here: https://lnkd.in/ghgAYxiT #Geocoding #BuildingFootprints #AI #GIS #Geospatial

Our planet is made up of diverse landscapes filled with both manmade and natural features. Historically, mapping detailed land cover and land use has relied on time-consuming and expensive manual digitization, often resulting in out-of-date maps that do not accurately reflect the real world. Thanks to our innovative AI-based mapping systems, Ecopia AI can efficiently extract 2D and 3D map data from high-resolution imagery at scale, empowering organizations with the foundational geospatial information needed to power analytics and decision-making related to stormwater management, infrastructure development, land use planning, and more. 💡Learn more about Ecopia AI’s 3D Nationwide Land Cover data here: https://lnkd.in/g_-jRPFx #LandCover #LandUse #3DMapping #AI #GIS #Geospatial
