Helping SME manufacturers get started with generative AI | Husband | Girl dad | Street Glide(r) | MBA

🛠️ What is the difference between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and generative AI? The two terms come up often in discussions about new technology applications. ❓ Asking ChatGPT (generative AI) to provide an analogy for AI vs. genAI: [edited] Comparing AI to generative AI is like comparing a Swiss Army knife to a 3D printer. A Swiss Army knife (AI) is versatile, equipped with tools for various tasks—cutting, screwing, opening bottles—much like how AI can analyze data, automate tasks, and assist in decision-making. On the other hand, a 3D printer (generative AI) specializes in creating new, tangible objects from scratch based on digital designs. Similarly, generative AI produces new content, such as text, images, or designs, mimicking the creativity process. While both are invaluable tools, their applications and outcomes differ: one is about performing a wide range of tasks efficiently, and the other about bringing new creations into existence. ________ Their differences and how each might be implemented: Artificial Intelligence (AI) 📘 Definition: AI refers to computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. Tasks include: learning, decision-making, problem-solving, and understanding language. Applications in small business: 🔹 Customer service: AI can power chatbots and virtual assistants to provide customer support, answer FAQs, and handle bookings or orders. 🔹 Data analysis: AI tools can analyze business data to identify trends, forecast sales, and provide insights for decision-making. 🔹 Automation: Automating repetitive tasks such as scheduling, invoicing, and email responses to free up time for focusing on core business activities. Generative AI 📘 Definition: Generative AI is a subset of AI that focuses on creating new content or data that didn’t exist before. It can generate text, images, videos, or music that resemble human-made content. Applications in small business: 🔹 Content creation: Generative AI can assist in creating marketing materials, writing drafts of blog posts, or generating product descriptions. 🔹 Personalization: It can generate personalized content for customers based on their preferences or past behavior. 🔹 Product design: Generative AI can come up with new product designs or improvements on existing products by generating a wide range of options and iterations. #AI #GenerativeAI #SME2024

5 Free Chatbots For small businesses exploring ways to integrate generative AI into their business strategy, a practical first step may be the implementation of a chatbot on the company website. AI-powered chatbots can serve as a low-cost tool for improving customer service. Done appropriately, a chatbot can provide 24/7 support, effectively handle FAQs, and offer personalized assistance to users. It offers the potential to not only improve customer experience but may also boost productivity by allowing your team to focus on more profitable, core functions. By adopting chatbot technology – and being transparent about its implementation and goals – businesses can work towards greater efficiency and customer satisfaction. And, while clearly not ideal for all firms, it can be an innovative, low-cost introduction to generative AI for many small businesses. 5 Free Chatbots The best chatbot options for any business varies depending on needs. SME leaders, are you examining your perspective with precision when it comes to your internal clients? Are you operating your business at the Intersection of Business and Career Success™? Consider the following recommendation from our president, Paul Poirier. #transformation #businesssuccess #careersuccess

Leadership demands more than an office view! It requires a shift in perspective. To truly understand the heartbeat of your business, go to GEMBA (the workplace) and stand shoulder to shoulder with your internal clients (employees). It's a panoramic change of scenery that reveals the nuances, challenges, and aspirations often overlooked from a distant vantage point. Without a ground-level immersion, you risk operating in a vacuum, detached from the real pulse of your team. To cultivate a thriving environment, you must embrace the frontline experience. After all, genuine leadership begins by standing where your internal clients stand and see what they see. _____________________________________ Do you want to discover how to operate at the Intersection of Business and Career Success™? Attract success, don't pursue it! Success isn't just a destination; it's a journey fueled by continuous growth. Embrace the mindset that you can have more than you got because you can become more than you are. Here are three keys to unlock boundless success: The most valuable asset you possess is YOU. Prioritize continuous learning, refine your skills, and stay ahead in your industry. As you evolve, so does your capacity for success. Invest in yourself. Success is often accompanied by challenges. Cultivate resilience to navigate setbacks with grace. Each obstacle is an opportunity to learn and grow stronger, bringing you closer to your goals. Surround yourself with individuals who inspire and challenge you. Successful people know the power of collaboration. Remember, the key to having more is becoming more. Attract success by investing in yourself and cultivating resilience. ___________________ The clip is intended for educational purposes only. #transformation #businesssuccess #careersuccess

For leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), incorporating kindness and inclusivity isn't merely a moral imperative; it's also a significant boon for business. #transformation #businesssuccess #careersuccess

SME leaders, are you kind and inclusive? Your interactions with volunteers, receptionists, restaurant servers, taxi drivers, and individuals in similar roles can reveal a great deal about your character. Irrespective of the situation, I make a conscious effort to understand the people I engage with. I take the initiative to learn their names and ensure they know mine. I strive to discover ways to bring a smile to their faces, even if only for a brief moment. If you're involved in hiring for your business, consider incorporating a revealing question during interviews. Ask candidates about the name of your receptionist or the person who introduced them to you. Their ability to provide this information speaks volumes about their character, especially if they work in sales. Usain Bolt exemplifies the impact a simple gesture can have on others' lives. So, let 2024 be the year you embrace kindness and inclusivity to the fullest. #transformation #businesssuccess #careersuccess

Work culture and company morale are foundational to a business's success. Too many businesses operate on fear. Employees that work from a place of fear cause so much distrust and miscommunication that ultimately hurts everyone involved. Fear needs to be eliminated from the workplace. Fear works. Love works better.
