Elexicon Energy and Centennial College are joining forces to develop two new micro-credentials for those pursuing careers in power distribution, thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.    As the energy sector evolves, it is vital to close skill gaps and ensure a skilled workforce for the future. Last week, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced changes to the Regulated Price Plan (RPP) for households, small businesses, and farms. Starting Nov. 1, 2024, new electricity prices will take effect for customers on the Time-of-Use (TOU), Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO), and Tiered price plans. Winter TOU hours and the change in the threshold for residential customers on Tiered pricing will also come into effect. The Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER) provided by the provincial government will change to 13.1 per cent.
