We're proud to share the success of EllisDon's inaugural Toronto Charity Golf Tournament, where we swung into action and raised an impressive $384,550 for Diabetes Canada! This meaningful contribution will fuel groundbreaking diabetes research and crucial advocacy work, impacting over four million Canadians living with this condition. Our own Andrew Anderson, Senior Vice President, Toronto Area Manager, who has a personal connection to Type 1 diabetes, played a key role in this event, reminding us why it's so important to give back to causes close to our hearts. 🏗️Project Milestone: Thunder Bay Correctional Complex Two dynamic years have passed since this project broke ground and we have exciting updates to share! A colossal 360,000 m³ of earth has been moved, reshaping the landscape and laying the groundwork for what's to come. Several kilometres of underground utilities have been meticulously installed, forming the complex's intricate hidden network. A massive 19,000 m³ concrete substructure has been completed, forming a solid base for the complex. And this is skimming the surface. Next up: having the building enclosure substantially complete by the end of 2024. Last month, the Thompson-Okanagan Commercial Building Awards by BDO Canada recognized leaders in commercial real estate at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna, BC. EllisDon's BC team recently hit the greens for a cause, hosting the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation Invitational Charity Golf Tournament. We're thrilled to announce that this year's event was a swinging success, raising over $300,000 for the Foundation! This brings our three-year tally to an impressive $830,000+. EllisDon has a longstanding partnership with RCH, and currently working on projects for both Phase II & III of the redevelopment. Thanks to our generous golfers and sponsors, the Fund-A-Need program will now boost the Emergency Department with additional Rapid Infusers. This critical equipment empowers our medical heroes to administer life-saving treatments swiftly and efficiently, enhancing patient care as we expand emergency services in the new hospital. Project Milestone: Humber College Lakeshore Campus - Cultural Hub The Humber Hawks officially have a new educational facility at their Lakeshore Campus: The Humber Cultural Hub! Featuring a Performance Hall, gym court, cafeteria, and student residence to house 300+ beds, this hub is a will be a staggering 365,000 sq. ft in size.
