We are SO excited to announce our new Director of Events and Productions, AJ Carroll! Andrea [AJ] is our highly organized and results-driven Director of Experience and Production. She has had a longstanding career in the events industry, focusing her attention on event and production management. In her current role, AJ leads the experience team as a coach and a mentor. She is responsible for assigning project teams for national clients, multi-city events, and mixed element projects. She develops and supports individual growth plans for professional development and she is involved in hiring new team members, and supports their onboarding and training. AJ diligently prioritizes health & safety in all aspects of the event process and she ensures projects meet the requirements for quality, creativity and profitability. When AJ isn’t leading our team to greatness, she can often be found golfing, playing New York Times games [like Wordle], or walking her two dogs, Olive and Phillip. Today we are celebrating our Chief Creative Strategist, Keri Miller , as she marks her 21st anniversary with "e"! Keri often says that she "bleeds "e" green". She's so proud to be part of this team and we're so proud to have her. We asked her what she loves most about working with "e" and she said, "Always the people. The work is dynamic and cool but it's the people we work with, our internal team and our extended industry and partners that make this career so incredibly connective and special. Our work can get intense, having a team of talented people surrounding you that make it fun is the best feeling in the world." We also asked Keri what her favourite recent event was and although she's worked on some amazing projects this year, her favourite event every year is our etreat! It's a time to bring the entire team across the country together to gather and reinforce our team connections. In Keri's words, "I love the small personal details we design for it, customizing moments for each team member. It was the first time some of the team had seen the rocky mountains! We come out of it remembering why we do what we do, together." This year, when Keri hasn't been leading creative strategies with our team, she has enjoyed traveling, both for work and personally. She has gotten back to her wanderlust roots [with better baggage], visiting places like Italy, Croatia, Malta and Spain! Please join us in celebrating Keri today! Today we are celebrating Marketing & Experience Manager, Afton's 11th anniversary with "e"! Afton is our go-to person when we need something artfully created. She first began working with “e” as an Event Coordinator, and has now moved up the ranks to her current position of Marketing & Experience Manager. She wears many hats and holds many different responsibilities including training new team members & contractors, working with the sales team crafting proposals, managing the marketing team, and you'll also see her working various projects on and off-site! Afton's favourite part of working with "e" is the people. In her own words, "The camaraderie, openness and general love we have for each other - from group chats filled with emotional support gifs, to little notes left on clipboards - I work with some exceptional people!" Afton's favourite recent event was an incentive trip to Napa Valley because she got to play with her old decor skills, including tablescape design, beautiful flowers and she even designed the table numbers! In addition, our team was able to find time to have their own post event wine and cheese party and watch the sun set. Outside of work, Afton is most often found spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She also recently bought her first lotto ticket and won $22, so she's up $11 dollars!
