Magnetic flux density is a critical quantity that is not visible to the naked eye but can be detected and visualized through simulation software like EMWORKS. In the short video below, a section plot of a solenoid's magnetic flux density is displayed, highlighting areas of low and high flux density with corresponding values on the chart. In this model, the maximum magnetic flux density reaches 2 Teslas. This plot is particularly useful for identifying regions where magnetic saturation of steel might occur, allowing for adjustments to improve the design, such as adding thickness to areas with higher magnetic flux density.
