Environmental Protection Solutions: Canada's leading geosynthetic containment organization.
About us
ECI is a construction and product services organization that focuses on providing customers with geosynthetic containment solutions. We provide geomembrane containment liner systems for water and chemicals, erosion/sediment control systems to minimize contamination of our waterways and storm water systems, and soil reinforced systems for pods and roadways. Whether completing a design/build directly for a client or completing a bid/build as a specialty subcontractor, we merge the science of geosynthetic containment with ancillary designs such as leak detection and groundwater/gas management to achieve the best and least expensive system price, our definition of value engineering. All of this is achieved by offering design support, manufacturing, and installation from within our own organization. As a firm with engineering design capability (APEGA Permit to Practice) and COR (Certificate of Recognition), we not only practice the science of geosynthetic containment but also the science of safety. The latter is achieved by utilizing our own (not sub-contracted) installation Technicians who operate within the protocols of our written Health & Safety Program.

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, September 16, 2024 – Engineered Containment continues to secure key projects across the industry, thanks to our unwavering commitment to quality assurance, quality control, and professional field operations. Our team’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards has solidified our reputation as leaders in concrete protective liner installation and inspection services. Engineered Containment has recently been entrusted with large-scale projects where other concrete protective liner contractors faced challenges. For example, after QA/QC process issues and documentation errors surfaced during a major in-plant welding project at a precast producer, our team stepped in to restore confidence and ensure the project’s successful completion, leading to over $100,000 worth of work. In another significant case, we were called upon to manage a high-profile project in a major city, where field conditions required meticulous oversight and coordination following water infiltration problems. Our expertise and commitment to delivering reliable, on-time results were crucial in meeting the client's stringent requirements. Additionally, on a major infrastructure project, our professionalism and strict adherence to safety protocols earned the trust and cooperation of third-party inspectors, who chose to collaborate with us due to our transparent and respectful on-site conduct. This approach ensures that all compliance requirements are met, maintaining the integrity and success of the projects without compromising our standards. Engineered Containment holds Engineering Permits to Practice in Alberta (APEGA) and British Columbia (EGBC), with permits for Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario currently in process. Our expanding portfolio of large projects underscores our leadership in the industry, driven by an experienced team dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and fostering strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and industry partners. How long can concrete exposed to harsh weather and a corrosive environment last? The answer is more than 25 years if installed with the right concrete protective liner made with quality materials. In this video, Marco Araujo Leal of SAI visits a mine in Sonora, Mexico, to demonstrate the impressive condition of a concrete structure installed 25 years ago with AGRU concrete protection. https://lnkd.in/gwNY4uEG Repost from LDM #concreteprotection #cpl #corrosion #concrete #sustainable #infrastructure #mining
