New Friday breakfast keynote speaker: Steve Howe, workplace accident survivor, safety expert, and inspirational speaker, will be tomorrow’s keynote breakfast presenter at our 2024 Annual Conference after a last-minute change. Steve’s keynote tells the story of his early career in the construction industry, when he thought the rules of safety did not apply to him. Like many workers, he never imagined he would fall victim to a workplace accident that would almost cost him his life. Steve’s story of a tragic accident, his long recovery, and his return to work will inspire audiences to learn the reasons why workplace safety is so important. With over 15 years on construction sites since his accident, Steve knows the safety challenges facing construction projects and the people working on them. His keynote will offer insights on how to foster a culture of safety by keeping things simple and ensuring that every action and word has a purpose.
