🇨🇦 Ontario’s #ExcessSoil laws, established under O. Reg 406/19: On-Site and Excess Soil Management, came into force on December 4, 2019, and continues to evolve. This regulation is part of a broader framework, including amendments to O. Reg 153/04 and Ontario’s waste and aggregate management laws. It integrates "Soil Rules" for soil management, Excess Soil Quality Standards, and the Beneficial Reuse Assessment Tool (BRAT) to develop site-specific standards.
