Day one of International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) has kicked off! Our Executive Chair Jake Klein shared his thoughts on the future role of boards and what they should prioritise. He later joined McKinsey & Company to discuss different perspectives on global industry trends and how to accelerate the energy transition, including critical minerals supply, decarbonisation technologies and effective AI utilisation. This afternoon our VP Sustainability Fiona Murfitt MBRT joined an engaging panel where she shared her insights on ESG as a value creator, the importance of clarity about what is material to you and key stakeholders and how to manage the increasing cost, time and complexity of disclosure, reporting and legal obligations. #IMARC #MiningIndustry #AustralianMining #Gold

Yesterday, around 500 Western Australian mining industry representatives gathered as our Executive Chair Jake Klein shared his insights and made the case for Australia, and our industry, to grasp the opportunities before us. He also spoke of our Mungari Operations, located over some of the best geology in the Goldfields region, where we are investing over $250M to double our plant capacity. This morning we were privileged to attend the official opening of the amazing immersive public sculpture Ouroboros by Lindy Lee AO at the National Gallery of Australia.   We were also honoured to be part of a special Water Ceremony yesterday, where Aunty Jude Barlow, Alinta Barlow and Khalia Heimuli performed a blessing, inviting spirits to welcome Ouroboros to Kamberri/Canberra.   We hosted Uncle Mick, Aunty Jane, Aunty Lois and her daughter Yasmin, representing the Port Curtis Coral Coast, which is made up of Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda peoples from the traditional lands surrounding our Mt Rawdon Operations. The gold used to create the companion creation of the Ouroboros, called 'Abundance', made in collaboration with the artisans at Pallion, has come from our Mt Rawdon Operations. 'Abundance' is on loan from Lindy Lee AO and the Pallion Art Collection and is now on display at the National Gallery.     #Gold #ArtsandCulture #MtRawdonOperations #Ouroboros #Abundance

This week, Senior Plant Metallurgist Northparkes Operations Dr Callan Lowes presented at the AusIMM Mill Operators Conference in Perth. Callan showcased the culmination of six years of continuous improvement at Northparkes with his presentation on the evolution of level control in the flotation circuit and its role in advanced control. Congratulations to Cowal Apprentice Boilermaker George Mitton, who received the inaugural Outstanding Apprentice of the Year Award at West Wyalong’s TAFE NSW after recently completing his Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade). Initiated by CJM Welding & Fabrication, in memory of their employee Ned Whiley who was also a student at West Wyalong’s TAFE NSW, the award represents dedication, hard work and a strong commitment to excellence. This week we had the privilege of meeting with and presenting to The Hon.
