The blueberry world gathered at Dalhousie University and in PEI August 24 to 29 for the 13th International Vaccinium Symposium! The event encompassed all things Vaccinium research related including the involvement of teaching, extension, producers, and marketers of the industry. Participants enjoyed the scientific programming and tours of wild blueberry, cranberry, and strawberry growing, processing, packing, and shipping facilities. We are proud planning partners and we hope all participants enjoyed this wonderful experience on the East Coast! https://lnkd.in/dZ_bEqbN

Day 2 of Summer School has been fun and action packed! A sunny day on campus well spent outdoors learning to do by doing and trying new skills! A glimpse into some of today’s activities - lunch and learn with the NS Horticulture for Health Network, yoga for gardeners with Joyful Yoga, edging & pruning techniques, and so much more! A mid day yoga session really helped to stretch out any tight muscles before we headed outside to learn about pruning plus a plant walk to discover how weeds can be used as indicator plants (a few popsicles also helped beat the heat). #extendedlearningdalac https://lnkd.in/eKEwfDpk
