We just had a team huddle talking about what we're working on moving into 2024 One of those things was improving customer experience I provided the example of a dinner I went to this year that was probably one of then nicest restaurants I've been to and how different the customer experience was Servers greeted us by name at the door, new preferences, and even provided flowers and a card signed by their staff since it was a birthday, and lots more. The crazy thing was the entrees were only $20-$30 more expensive than a normal restaurant like Cactus Club Made me realize: Often times, the difference between a $100 dinner and a $500 dinner is a not 5X the level of service It's more like 50X

This is one of our cold email campaigns. 18.77% response rate across 1900 leads contacted and 2 closed deals. Here's our strategy that gets us these results. Step 1. Personalize the emails In the B2B world, nobody cares about mass emails that don't feel personal. We address people by their name and mention something about their company, location, etc. For example: "Hey John, Just came across you on Google, love what you're doing with (insert company name) and especially love to see local marketing agencies thriving here in BC. Step 2. Split test different variations of the emails We don't rely on one email for your entire campaign. We split test 4 variations of our first email, then 2 variations for the rest of our sequence. Chances are, you won't craft the perfect off the bat so try a few variations of your best bad guess and let the market tell you what works. Step 3. Follow up with prospects We have a 5-step follow-up sequence that all our leads go through and is stopped when someone responds. A lot of people won't respond to the first email, so the follow-up is crucial Step 4. Look at what works and iterate We look at the data from our campaigns What was the open rate? What was the response rate? What was the positive response rate? How many calls did we book? This will tell us what to change and what to continue doing. As a benchmark, we look for a 50% open rate, a 10% response rate and at least 1 closed deal per 1000 contacts that go through an entire 5-step sequence.
