  • On Saturday, January 25th, the GoGivers Foundation participated in an incredible care package distribution event alongside our valued partners: Vancouver Care Packages, The Good Guys, and The Catalyst. With over 100 volunteers, we came together to make a meaningful impact in our community. For our contribution, we prepared and provided over 600 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to include in the care packages. Additionally, 600 ham and cheese sandwiches were made and distributed. These care packages were thoughtfully curated to address various needs and included essentials such as bottled water, granola bars, hygiene products (including oral care and feminine hygiene items), heating packs to provide warmth, and hand sanitizers for cleanliness and safety. Thank you to our dedicated team of executives and volunteers who made this event possible. Additionally, we want to extend our gratitude to Creekside Community Centre for generously offering their space and resources, enabling us to assemble and distribute these vital care packages. Their support played a key role in making this event a success.

  • On January 11th, our executives had the privilege of presenting at the Mini-Enterprise Business Competition Expo, an event that was filled with innovation, collaboration, and inspiration. This was an amazing opportunity to connect with ambitious, like-minded youth who share a passion for entrepreneurship and making a difference. We proudly showcased GoGivers, sharing our mission and past achievements while hearing inspiring feedback from attendees. We also gained enthusiastic new members who are eager to join us for our next distribution, and we can’t wait to work alongside them to continue creating meaningful change. We are incredibly grateful to Mini-Enterprise for organizing this wonderful event and for giving us the chance to network, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights. The positive comments we received about our work reinforced our commitment to making an impact. A huge thank-you goes out to our dedicated executives for their hard work in spreading GoGivers’ message. Their passion, energy, and ability to connect with others left a lasting impression, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts. • On December 29th, the Go-Givers team embraced the rain and shared warmth in the most delightful way, with steaming cups of hot chocolate! At our event, we distributed free hot chocolate to the community, transforming a dreary day into a heartwarming experience. Thanks to our dedicated team of executives, we were able to serve over 150 cups of hot chocolate and distribute 400 pieces of clothing to those in need! Despite the downpour of rain, our spirits remained high. It was incredible to see people from different backgrounds come together, connecting over something as simple as a warm drink. This distribution proved that even small acts of kindness is all it takes to brighten someone’s day. We’re especially thankful to Value Village for providing the clothing that made this event possible and to everyone who participated and made this event a success. Your energy and resilience transformed a rainy day into a memorable celebration of community and compassion. Stay tuned for more opportunities to spread warmth and joy, even when the skies are cloudy! ☕

  • Just recently, GoGivers was invited to participate in the Ascend Business Case Competition on November 16th at the UBC Sauder School of Business. The event provided an excellent platform for us to showcase our non-profit organization and connect with like-minded youth passionate about creating a positive change in their communities. As a team, we reflected on GoGivers’ growth and our meaningful impact throughout the community. We also engaged in inspiring conversations with youth who share our commitment to addressing food insecurity, distributing meals to those in need, and working towards a community where no one goes hungry.  Events like Ascend motivate us to continue our mission and highlight the power of collaboration and shared purpose. We are deeply grateful to the Ascend organizers for hosting such an impactful case competition and to everyone who supported and connected with us during the event. A special thanks to our dedicated executive members, whose hard work ensured our message reached as many people as possible. Together, we hope to continue building a stronger and more compassionate community.

  • On October 27th, GoGivers organized one of our largest volunteer initiatives to date, rallying over 50+ dedicated individuals who endured the cold, rainy weather to make a difference. Thanks to their commitment and hard work, we were able to distribute more than 700 sandwiches, 280 bottles of water, and 100 pastries to the community at Pigeon Park, wrapping up around 2 PM. Ultimately, the impressive turnout demonstrated the uplifting spirit and perseverance of our volunteers, who pushed through challenging conditions to ensure that no one was left empty-handed. Despite the weather, our distribution leads played a critical role in managing the event seamlessly. They effectively guided our volunteers, ensuring food and supplies reached as many areas as possible. Through strategic planning and quick adaptability, our team maximized our impact, covering various locations while fostering an environment of support and encouragement among volunteers. Their leadership transformed what could have been a logistical challenge into a remarkably smooth distribution, highlighting the strength of our team. This event displays GoGivers' ongoing commitment to addressing food insecurity, driven by the dedication of both our volunteers and executive team. We look forward to continuing our mission with the same enthusiasm and resilience, strengthening our communities through collective action. Together, we’re excited to carry this momentum forward, creating meaningful change with every distribution!

  • On Saturday, September 21st, GoGivers kicked off our first fundraising event of the season, and we couldn't be more proud of our team's dedication and hard work! Our Krispy Kreme Donut Fundraiser was a great success, selling out all 160 dozen donuts early and raising $1500 to support our mission. From early morning setup to the last box sold, our executive team and volunteers were all hands on deck, keeping energy high and smiles bright. Seeing everyone engaged, interacting with customers, and working together to achieve our goal was inspiring. Special shout-out to our fundraising leads for their exceptional coordination and to every volunteer who contributed to the success of this event! This fundraiser is just the beginning of what's to come for GoGivers this term. We’re excited to continue positively impacting our community, one initiative at a time. Stay tuned for more updates, and we’ll see you at our next event!

  • Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers and executives, GoGivers kicked off the 2024-2025 term with a successful first distribution event. On September 1st, 2024, we gathered at Pigeon Park around 1:00 PM. In collaboration with the Traction Initiative, our executive team leading more than 30 volunteers successfully distributed more than 550 sandwiches, 500 bottles of water, and 60 pastries to those in need around the Lower East Side. Our turnout this month was beyond impressive, as our volunteers were working hard to hand out all the food, water bottles, and pastries. Though some transit groups faced some delay and needed to take detours, their commitment and enthusiasm shone through and remained strong on a sweltering hot 27-degree day. Despite the obstacles, they ensured that we met our distribution goals. Through a coordinated effort, our distribution leads split off and successfully completed distribution in a record high time, as our event lasted just over an hour, concluding at around 2:15 PM. Once again, thank you to our amazing leads for communicating so well and getting the job done swiftly and smoothly.   This event marked a solid start to our new term, demonstrating our relentless drive and commitment to addressing food insecurity within our local communities. We look forward to building on this momentum in future distributions and supporting those in need with the same dedication and enthusiasm.

  • GoGivers ended the 2023-2024 term strong with our last distribution on Sunday in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Despite the heat, our team of volunteers and executives distributed 400+ sandwiches, 400 bottles of water, and 1000 packs of Herbaland gummies. Over the past year, we have distributed thousands of meals to those in need, and none of this would have been possible without the dedication and support of our incredible volunteers, executives, and community partners. Your generosity and commitment have helped ensure that our neighbours in need have access to essential resources. Each smile, “thank you,” and each connection made at our distributions is a testament to the power of community. While today marks the end of this term, our mission continues. We are already planning for the upcoming year with new executives and an aim to reach even more people in our community. Stay tuned for exciting updates and opportunities to get involved! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a part of the GoGivers family. Let’s continue to spread kindness, support one another, and positively impact our community.

  • Recently, GoGivers had the opportunity to participate in Prosper Vancouver’s expo fair, a business fair held on May 25th at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Our executives demonstrated exceptional dedication and enthusiasm, engaging in meaningful conversations with attendees and conveying our organization's values and goals. Besides showcasing our organization, we also gained valuable insights and perspectives from other booths within our community, including GoodGuys, CPA, etc. Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and expressed interest in our endeavors.
