Call for Expressions of Interest - Gwich'in Council International Board of Directors The Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) is looking for Expressions of Interest from Gwich’in Participants interested in serving as Board Member on Gwich’in Council International (GCI) for a four-year term. GCI represents 9,000 Gwich’in in the Northwest Territories (NWT), Yukon, and Alaska as a Permanent Participant in the Arctic Council; and is the only international organization where Indigenous peoples have a seat at the decision-making table alongside national governments. GCI supports Gwich’in by amplifying our voice on sustainable development and the environment at the international level to support resilient and healthy communities. Board members provide strategic direction and accountability to GCI, participate in Arctic Council activities, and operate by consensus. Please see poster for additional details. To meet the current and future needs of Gwich’in Participants (Participants) and the Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) language department (the department), the coordinator will support development of language programs and the growth and implementation and evaluation of the Gwich’in immersion school curriculum.
