It's Product Day! Today's hero is the Hallite 657 flange seal. The 657 seal is designed to fit SAE J518 flanges. It overcomes high pressure and shock loading, which commonly cause pumping problems when using O-rings in flange sealing applications, preventing reliable sealing. The Hallite 657 is moulded in Hythane® 181, Hallite’s high-performance polyurethane, for easy installation and excellent low temperature performance. It is also offered in an industrial standard grade of polyurethane. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eCsPmVCY

Today, we reflect on our nearly decade-long partnership with the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Seeking to validate our claim of having one of the best rod wipers in the market, 10 years ago, we started our collaboration with MSOE’s Fluid Power Institute (FPI) to develop a unique test method for assessing dirt and dust entry in hydraulic systems. This eight-month project resulted in a benchmark test for wipers, helping us identify the best profiles and materials. MSOE’s expertise has enabled us to conduct previously impossible tests, such as measuring frictional heat build-up at the sealing lip. Our unbiased, third-party partnership with MSOE ensures reliable, repeatable testing methods. Their advanced equipment allows for simultaneous tests, enhancing the consistency and reliability of our results for customers. (Video: Piston Seal Endurance Test Stand)
