A Special Day of Giving Back from Our Moncton Team! This week, some of our Harding Medical Moncton team members volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House inside the Moncton Hospital, sharing warmth and comfort through a home-cooked meal. Lorraine, Kerri, Doreen, and Darcy prepared a delicious dinner for 20 guests, with a menu of white rice, meatballs, mixed veggies, and a cozy apple crisp for dessert! The food was funded by Harding Medical, and each volunteer wore a special apron beautifully crafted by Lorraine with our logo - thank you, Lorraine, for the thoughtful touch! It was truly heartwarming to see the joy our team’s cooking brought to the families, especially one little three-year-old girl with curly hair, who won over some hearts as she played nearby. Our Moncton team will be returning to the Ronald McDonald House each season, with a new group volunteering every time. This is just one way we aim to give back to our community, and we’re so proud to support these families through moments of care and connection. Harding Medical is excited to have Clary Stubbert, key accounts sales, representing us as the technical support lead for two remarkable wheelchair tennis events this October. Last weekend, Clary provided his expertise at the Sure Grip International Wheelchair Tennis Open in Fredericton, and this weekend, he’ll be on-site at the Birmingham National Championships at the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre in Bedford, taking place from October 17-20. Wheelchair tennis maintains the same court dimensions, net height, and equipment as traditional tennis, but with key adaptations: athletes use specialized wheelchairs, and the ball is allowed to bounce twice, with the second bounce even permitted outside the court. These unique adaptations showcase the athleticism and skill of these remarkable athletes. We also extend our congratulations to Thomas Venos from British Columbia, who claimed victory at the Sure Grip International Wheelchair Tennis Open Futures Men’s Singles Final in Fredericton, defeating Jason Keatseangsilp from Arizona with an impressive 6/3 6/3 win.
