Conserving water isn’t about a big, eventful decision. It’s about improving a bit, every day. Despite much of the population sitting squarely in a rainforest, parts of BC never left Level 4 water shortages. That’s why this campaign asks all British Columbians for small changes to make a big difference, together. High fives to The Sequence Group, Wave Sound Productions Ltd. and the whole team at GCPE.

Long hours got us on the shortlist. Some people asked what we submitted to Strategy Online and this year’s jury. Here's a quick look-see. Thanks again to Tire Stewardship BC, Lindsay Siu and the folks at GCPE. Monster five to Chris Nielsen and Hugo Horvath for editing the full videos. To view the full vids and/or the individual work pages, go to the first comment.

Our clients and her parents already know, but Anaïs Bayle is our newest monster. (Sometimes the worst kept secrets make the best news, right?) Big shout to Capilano University!

Here Be Monsters is nominated for Small Agency of the Year by Strategy Online! If we win, we’ll reserve the finest booth for 8 at a premium-casual dining establishment. Congrats to all the agencies who made this year’s lists. We’re honoured to alphabetically hangout with you.

Newsflash, phones cannot be in BC classes anymore. This campaign reaches out to students, parents and teachers to show how school doesn’t make sense when you’re distracted by your phone. GCPE, thanks for your continued belief. And a big production thanks to: KIDDO, POSTPRO, Flip78 Sound Inc., Clinton Hussey, Cake Imagery.

Wayback Wednesday has a soupçon of our brand book for Nature's Fare Markets. Our favourite wellness & grocery brand went from granola to ganache got with a new logo, fresh colours & graphic system, custom-made font and much more. High fives to Hugo Horvath for the sweet fly-through anim. We’re cooking up a new NFM campaign now. Watch this space!

Exciting news! Our very own Tony Hird, Creative Director and Founder at Here Be Monsters has been selected as a juror for the upcoming Communication Arts Typography competition. He’ll be judging some of the most innovative design work from around the world, no pressure, Tony!
I’m thrilled to represent Here Be Monsters as a juror for the upcoming Communication Arts Typography Competition. It’s an honour to judge a show that has inspired me throughout my career. Don't forget to submit your work by September 13! commarts.com/competitions

Two things: Preventative medicine is invaluable. And gratitude for oneself is some deep and meaningful stuff. In the moment of making the right decision, we often don’t take the time to pat ourselves on the back. Getting yourself or a loved one vaccinated for HPV is a good decision. While you are preventing against an STI, the bigger picture is that you’re protecting against several types of cancer. It’s self-care worthy of a squeeze from the future. Or a time-warping bear hug. Full circle on gratitude; big thanks to Adam Blasberg and his team for deftly capturing the moments and to Cake Imagery for all the fine-tuning. To the entire GCPE group, thank you on behalf of Nicole Steward, Jocelyn Wong, Chris Raedcher, Tony Hird and Matt Bielby.
