#diversityequityinclusion should not fall on the shoulders of women and other marginalized communities. To solely expect people who didn't have generational privileges and benefits to uplift and amplify ourselves is both ludicrous and negligent. The lynch pinch of a community is that you provide support to help others where you can. And when less than 3% of my industry of cannabis supply-side brands are women owned, we need help and support beyond just those of us in this 3% helping each other. So please take the time to educate yourself on how you can be a part of the solution. Being silent doesn't make you an ally: The opposite of speaking up is not speaking at all. I had a ball kicking off the last four CannaReps Collector's Cups and Budtender Games and doing the Land Acknowlegements at these and other events I attend is the very least I can do to acknowledge and honor the Indigenous peoples who have been the traditional custodians of the land on which we always gather. We came together once more to celebrate and honor the vibrant and diverse cannabis industry in Canada and wow such fun! All year, the Collector's Cup has showcased the finest cannabis cultivars from some of the country's most dedicated cultivators. This unique legal cannabis sampling competition has brought together enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and professionals who truly appreciate the art and science behind cannabis cultivation.
