Howden Uptime boosts LNG fuelling stations with cutting edge connectivity. In a significant step towards enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, Uptime has announced its latest initiative to connect LNG fuelling stations to its advanced digital platform. This aims to streamline operations, reduce downtime, and provide operators with real-time insights into fuel supply and distribution, further propelling the transition to cleaner energy alternatives. Uptime’s digital platform allows LNG station operators to monitor station performance, track fuel levels, and predict maintenance needs in real time. The integration will not only improve operational efficiency but also enhance safety, as the platform will alert operators to potential issues before they lead to service disruptions. With the collaboration of the LNG team, we have developed an advanced Fleet View system that provides the service team with a comprehensive, real-time overview of all LNG assets in a single, user-friendly interface. This powerful tool enables service technicians to visually monitor the status of every asset across the fleet at a glance, making it easier to detect issues quickly and take proactive action. The Fleet View not only highlights assets experiencing problems, but also provides detailed insights such as distilling status, alert levels, tank fill percentages, and signal strength. By consolidating these critical data points into one unified platform, the service team can prioritize maintenance tasks, respond to alerts faster, and ensure operational efficiency, reducing the risk of downtime across the entire LNG network. This week, we had the pleasure of hosting the IMechE Glasgow Young Members Panel at our Renfrew site in Scotland. The visit featured engaging presentations, factory tours, and interactive Q&A sessions with students and young professionals. Our Graduate Engineers, Thelma Ejihkeme and Fergus Rule, led the event, providing insights into Howden, A Chart Industries Company product portfolio and our commitment to advancing clean and efficient energy solutions. We also highlighted our global presence and the impressive scale of our operations, which sparked great interest among the attendees. A key topic of discussion was the Howden Graduate Scheme, with our graduate engineers sharing their experiences and answering questions from the group. Overall, it was a highly successful and rewarding day. We hope the IMechE Young Members found the visit informative and inspiring, and we look forward to future collaborations.
