This video was taken after the removal of the Stanley Park bike lane in 2023, after which, we saw a significant increase in congestion on the Seawall. We are seeing worrying trends in places like Ontario and even in Vancouver with active travel infrastructure being curtailed or removed entirely. As B.C.'s provincial election fast approaches, we need to stress the importance of electing representatives and parties that are committed to improving road safety, while making communities more affordable, accessible, equitable, and healthier. Use HUB Cycling's letter writing tool at https://bikehub.ca/vote to ask candidates where they stand on active transportation so YOU can be more informed when you go to vote at the polls on October 19th. Candidates have until this Sunday, October 6th to complete the survey. Candidate responses are being published as they come in at bikehub.ca/vote. Thank you for your support in building a safer and healthier community. ❤️ #bcpoli #bcelxn 🎥 cred: Jordan Ross
