We're delighted to invite you to Citymakers 2024. Communities shaped by transport: From London to Toronto Now in its sixth year, Citymakers returns with a pair of events; one in London, one in Toronto, to explore the role of transport in catalysing sustainable development in creating meaningful communities. Toronto is one of the fastest growing cities in North America. London has an integrated transport network like few global cities have. As a practice originating from London and now working on several major projects around current and future transport nodes in Toronto, we are learning a lot about how infrastructure and placemaking come together. London, where Opportunity Areas are often anchored by important transport connections, is now in a moment of change with a new government faced with the challenge to deliver thousands of new well-connected homes. What can these two cities learn from each other to build sustainable, people-centred places for the future?
