The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and Hydrogen BC congratulates Premier David Eby and the B.C. NDP for their recent re-election in the province. The CHA looks forward to the ongoing collaboration with the B.C. Government on advancing CleanBC and the lowering of emissions by 40% by 2030. The B.C. Government's Hydrogen Strategy plays a key role in this target through accelerating production and the use of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen while simultaneously pursuing B.C. to be a global leader in the hydrogen sector for the benefit of all residents. B.C. boasts the largest hydrogen and fuel cell sector in Canada, with 51% of companies located here in the province. B.C. also accounts for about 60% of research investment in hydrogen and fuel-cell technology. To date these companies have exported fuel cell technology to over 42 countries in the world.
