As we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we celebrate progress in cancer research, but remember that the journey isn't over. Breast cancer doesn’t discriminate—it can affect anyone. This message is especially important for air line pilots, regardless of gender. Our profession can come with unique health risks, including exposure to radiation, disrupted sleep cycles, and irregular schedules—all of which may increase the complexity of our health profiles. Let’s unite to raise awareness, advocate for more research into these specific risks, and push for the representation and studies that the aviation community deserves. Together, we can work towards better health outcomes for everyone in the skies. #BreastCancerAwareness #aviationhealth #pilothealth (Captain Mar Alguacil with copilots Mamen de Las Peñas & Fernando Alfaro).
