🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡   Today, September 30th, we join communities across Canada in reflecting on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day is an important opportunity for all of us to acknowledge Canada's history, engage in learning, and take meaningful steps towards reconciliation.   At iFathom, we are proud to support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action #92, which emphasizes empowering Indigenous economic opportunities. In line with this commitment, we’ve been actively involved in initiatives that help foster understanding and support for Indigenous communities: - Supporting an Indigenous retail leader with our purchase of Orange Shirts, symbolizing our commitment to #EveryChildMatters. - Enrolling in the 4 Seasons of Reconciliation course, which explores the deep historical relationships between Canada and Indigenous peoples. This educational journey allows us to better understand the painful realities uncovered by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. - Participating in a meaningful Beading and Being: Pre-Orange Shirt Day virtual gathering, which highlighted the cultural significance of Indigenous beadwork.   As we reflect today, let’s take the opportunity to listen, learn, and stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.   #TruthAndReconciliation #EveryChildMatters #IndigenousEmpowerment #OrangeShirtDay

Meet Miranda Quesnel, CPA, our Finance Manager at iFathom. Miranda’s journey reflects her passion for numbers and her dedication to mentoring others. Here’s what she shared about her educational path and thoughts on success:   📣 What is/was your education path? "I’ve always been passionate about numbers, but as a kid, I wanted to be a teacher to help others learn. After high school, I pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the University of Ottawa, where I fell in love with business and accounting. Completing the CPA program opened new doors, leading me to my current role at iFathom. As a Finance Manager, I’ve realized my childhood dream of teaching by mentoring my team while doing what I love. But learning never stops. My next steps? Continuously improving my technical skills and leadership through ongoing learning and feedback."   📣 What do you believe is the most critical component women need to succeed in their careers? "Confidence and the willingness to take risks—even if it means failing. Confidence ensures you’re heard and taken seriously, regardless of gender. A Hewlett Packard report shows men apply for jobs when they meet 60% of the requirements, while women wait until they meet 100%. As women in business, we must be willing to step out, take calculated risks, and own our decisions. Otherwise, we risk undercutting our potential and underrepresentation in our fields."   📣 What advice would you give to other women aspiring to leadership roles in finance? "Know your stuff, but also be open to listening and adapting. In finance, instilling confidence in your capabilities is essential, but it’s also important to create an environment where your team feels heard. Leaders who listen and adapt not only empower their teams but also foster a culture of continuous growth and innovation within their company.”

Today, we proudly honor National Indigenous Peoples Day. As part of our Indigenous Participation Plan and ongoing commitment to increasing Indigenous representation in the workforce, iFathom is investing in Indigenous-specific job platforms. These platforms are designed to connect Indigenous job seekers with employers committed to diversity and inclusion, featuring targeted job listings, community engagement initiatives, cultural competency resources, career development support, and networking opportunities. This initiative aims to identify and engage Indigenous communities, ensuring diversity and inclusivity in our hiring process and fostering a more equitable workplace for all.

Empowering women in leadership is central to our mission. ⭐️👩💼 Meet Emma Jackson our dedicated IT Recruitment Delivery Manager at iFathom. Emma brings a versatile skillset that aligns well with professional demands and daily life. Here is what she had to say about leadership and success: 📣What do you believe is the most critical component women need to succeed in their careers? “I firmly hold the belief that being a part of a company that champions equal opportunity and cultivates a supportive work culture is so important for success in your career. A workplace that values diversity, actively advocates for inclusiveness, and empowers individuals to freely share their insights, participate in decision-making, and assume leadership responsibilities—all without encountering any form of bias—stands as an essential pillar for fostering success in one's career, particularly for women.”  📣Do you have any advice for fellow women who want to succeed in the sales/tech industry? “Embrace your strengths and be unapologetically confident in your abilities. Welcome a mindset of continuous learning; never cease exploring new trends and technologies. Resilience and adaptability are paramount—don't shy away from challenges, instead, use them as stepping stones to growth. Advocate for yourself confidently; ensure your accomplishments are recognized. Lastly, take the reins of your career by proactively seeking opportunities, showcasing your initiative, and maintaining a balance that sustains your well-being.” #WomenInLeadership #DiversityandInclusion #Empowerment #CareerSuccess #iFathomLeadership
