We’re excited to announce that beginning October 21st, Wilfreda Edward is joining the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience | Centre canadien pour la résilience numérique (CCNDR) as Executive Director! In this role, Wilfreda will be embedded within Imagine Canada and spearhead key functions spanning strategy development, network outreach across the sector and partnership creation, while ensuring that CCNDR’s work and culture advance our collective anti-racism and anti-oppression goals. With an extensive background in digital transformation and open data, Wilfreda brings a combination of a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective on the nonprofit sector to this role. Coming to Imagine Canada from the Government of Canada where she was the Senior Policy Advisor to the Chief Information Officer of Canada within the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Wilfreda has been engaged in digital transformation work with a national vantage point. Wilfreda draws from her rich Creole heritage, which is deeply rooted in the art of storytelling as a way to transfer generational knowledge, preserve cultural values, and solidify social impact. These traditions inform her work as a seasoned digital professional, where she leverages the power of data to craft compelling stories that drive meaningful change and create lasting impact. “I am thrilled to be joining CCNDR and Imagine Canada in our shared mission to empower Canada’s nonprofit sector.
