At INCITE, we’ve learned that the solutions we seek often lie in the work we’re most tempted to avoid. There are no shortcuts or easy answers in meaningful growth—progress happens when we lean into the hard choices and tackle challenges head-on. Why do we shy away from this work? Often, it’s because it feels daunting, uncomfortable, or pushes us outside our comfort zones. But that discomfort is where real change starts. It’s in the difficult conversations, the deep strategic shifts, and the moments where we confront our blind spots that true progress is made. This is where potential is unlocked and where clients make the most significant leaps forward. If you find yourself avoiding something, it’s likely the very thing that will drive the most impact. Embrace the tough work—that’s where the magic happens. In 2020, INCITE recognized a critical opportunity in the mid-market Mergers and Acquisitions space and launched our specialized M&A communications and integration services. Since then, we've collaborated with organizations such as Noralta Lodge Ltd., Viacore Solutions, and VC3, providing tailored support in deal communications, culture integration, and brand alignment to drive seamless transitions. With a focus on simplifying the complexities of mergers, we empower our clients to navigate every phase of the M&A process with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Explore the impact of our work through our transaction case studies at https://lnkd.in/gMtyW_4W The photo below captures a milestone moment—our first M&A mixer—where we connected with industry leaders and set the stage for our journey into this exciting space. Integrity in business is all about being real and doing what’s right, especially when no one is watching. The tougher the call or the situation, the more important it is to maintain one's integrity. It means being honest, following through on promises, and making sure your actions line up with what you say. Integrity is one of INCITE's core values and I believe we strive for that everyday and with every client/project. It is one of the reasons I've stayed at Incite for the past 22 years. Taking the high road and ensuring we do what's right is something I've always appreciated and valued in working at Incite. The big lesson here is that shortcuts might help you out in the moment, but they can really hurt you later. If a company sticks to being genuine and true to its word, it’s much more likely to build a loyal crowd and grow in a way that lasts... 25 years and counting! This is lesson learned number 20 out of 25 in a series of posts to commemorate Incite's 25 years in business. What a great way to cap the 2024 Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR) conference with a panel discussion moderated by Allan Seckel and featuring Carin Plischke of the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC, Dianne Millette of the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, and Joanie Bouchard of The Regulator's Practice. Having the hard work of INCITE's Darren Tonn and Coast Salish Knowledge Keeper, Shane Pointe, Sulksun, showcased in front of a full house was incredible. The session provided the room with plenty of lessons learned during the amalgamation including the importance of: ➡️ Impacted party engagement with communities and groups affected by change ➡️ Creating a thoughtful brand rollout to teams (and just how impactful it can be)

Celebrating 25 years at INCITE has been an incredible milestone, and what better way to commemorate it than with a truly special gift! Huge thanks to past Inciters, Ryan Peyton and Mark Steiner, for gifting us this custom goalie mask, decked out in Incite's logo and colors. They combined their passions for design and 3D printing, plus keen insight into Ted Kouri's love of hockey, to create a gift that is both unique and heartfelt. Their continued support and friendship mean a great deal to us, and it’s a reminder of the lasting connections we’ve built over the years. Here's to the shared memories and the exciting opportunities ahead. #Incite25anniversary #Incite25years #InciteStrategy

🗣️ Understanding diverse practices and the unique "language" of a new workplace can be challenging. Onboarding two new principals this year has underscored the importance of open communication within our team and a shared willingness to learn, both for new hires and those of us who have been here for over 20 years. One of our newest Principals, Angelique Rodrigues, is making her INCITE blog debut with a post about her experience transitioning into her role. As she discovered along the way, our team thrives on collaboration and adaptability. We believe that success is built on mutual growth and shared insights. It's more about learning together than simply speaking the same language. Curious about her journey and how she’s embraced her inquisitive nature to ensure clarity along the way? As we look back on the last 25 years in business, one memory that continues to shine is the day we were introduced to Lumina Learning. Over the years, we’ve harnessed tools from Lumina Learning as part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture at INCITE. Every Inciter has completed the #LuminaSpark assessment, generating an insightful profile of four, colour-coded personality types built off their responses. What’s fascinating is that our team showcases an almost even split between yellow-green (people-focused) and red-blue (outcome-focused) traits, a dynamic balance indeed. During internal planning sessions, we revisit our profiles to reflect on our tendencies, strengths and areas for growth. By comparing our positions on the Lumina wheel, we gain a deeper understanding of each other, fostering stronger partnerships and identifying areas where teammates might face challenges. Can you guess where each team member sits on the Lumina wheel shown below? #Culture #LuminaLearning #LuminaSpark #Incite25Years #StrategicPlanning

Earlier this month the INCITE team gathered for a full-day strategic planning retreat, a pivotal moment in our year that allows us to refocus and realign on our goals as a business and team. Stepping out of the office to dedicate time to strategic discussions helps us stay connected and purposeful in everything we do. Here's a quick recap of what we covered: - Reviewed Incite's core purpose and values - Mapped out business priorities and key growth opportunities - Brainstormed initiatives for each priority and discussed as a team We ended the day with a team dinner and hit up the TELUS World of Science - Edmonton for their 'Dinos and Drinks' event. Now that's what we call a dino-mite night! 🦕🍸 #StrategicPlanning #TeamBuilding #InciteStrategy #YEGbusiness

Incite Lesson 18/25 - As a former reporter and current strategist, I sometimes joke that I was born asking questions. It's served me well in many capacities, but in a new work environment - it's something I often consider tempering. Starting a new role is already challenging and I hardly want to be pegged as the person with the endless questions. But, as a Principal Strategist joining an established team at a business that's been thriving for 25 years, I found myself a little lost and working to decipher their internal language codes. So, I started asking questions. Frankly, I haven't stopped. And as I found out over the last 7 months, my INCITE team members embrace questions with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, they value the perspective, insights and innovations I bring to the table — the ‘languages’ I’m fluent in myself. It's not a new lesson, but it's one I've been glad to be reminded of. Curiosity and open-communication are key to a successful onboarding experience and questions can open the door to collaboration. The writer in me had more to say on this topic (shocking), so keep an eye out for my Incite Blog debut on the importance of shared language, coming later this month.
