🚀 Meet Ethan McCallum, a Mechanical Technician – Precision Skills student at Georgian College, set to graduate soon! Currently, he's on a co-op with Innovative Automation, gearing up for his apprenticeship. Ethan's journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Since winning Skills Ontario and Skills Canada in 2023, he's been working full-time and training for the WorldSkills competition, taking place in Lyon, France. Along the way, he's made invaluable industry connections, including with the Minister of Education, the Minister of Finance, and Doug Ford, expanding his professional network immensely. Recently, Ethan had the incredible opportunity to train in Austria with their WorldSkills team, using the same machines that will be featured in the competition this September. Here's what Ethan has to say about his journey: "It'll be a big challenge competing at WorldSkills and it's definitely nerve-wracking. But for me, it's not about winning or losing, it's about how much you develop yourself throughout the journey. I've come a long way from where I started, and that's my biggest takeaway." #ExperienceGeorgian #WorldSkills
