About us
Intact Public Entities is a leader in providing specialized insurance programs, including risk management and claims services to municipal, public administration and community service organizations across Canada. Proven industry knowledge, gained through over nine decades of partnering with insurance companies and independent brokers, gives Intact Public Entities the ability to effectively manage the necessary risk, advisory and claims services for both standard and complex issues. Our history dates back to 1927 with our first municipal client - the Village of Ayr, Ontario. From then, other municipalities came calling and the company established the strong foundation and sterling reputation that continues today. Interestingly, our product offering was expanded beyond municipal business based on reputation. Other municipal-related organizations started to be asked to be placed with us because of our knowledge in the specialty insurance space. The trend continued and it became common for the municipality, hospital, Children's Aid Society and conservation authority to all be placed wtih Intact Public Entities. Intact Public Entities is a Managing General Agent (MGA) with the authority to write and service business on behalf of strategic partners who share our commitment and dedication to protecting specialized organizations. Because our partners are long-term participants on our program, they understand the nature of fluctuating market conditions and complex claims and are prepared to stay the course. Intact Public Entities is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation.

We joined forces with AORS - Association Of Ontario Road Supervisors and Innovations Academy to reinforce the importance of road safety at the Safety On Your Side Symposium. Not only did we get to discuss key topics about municipal road safety with industry experts but we got to watch a crash test. Check out the video.
What a fun day collaborating with Innovations Academy and Intact Public Entities to talk about road safety from expert panelists! We topped the day off with a tour of the Ontario Provincial Police Accident Reconstruction vehicle, and watched a crash test at Innovations Academy’s drive test facility. Check out the video and watch what it looks like when a truck crashes into a sidewalk patio at 52 km/hr with no safety protections - just some 2 x 6 wood!

It's a good day to be learning all about road safety from some of the top industry experts! And we can't wait for the trip to the Innovations Academy crash test track to see live demonstrations.
We are at the Safety On Your Side Symposium today with Intact Public Entities and Innovations Academy learning all about road safety! #Ontario #PublicWorks #Municipalities
