We are excited to announce that the QIAstat-Dx Gastrointestinal Panel 2 from QIAGEN has recently received Health Canada approval. This cartridge-based test allows labs and clinics to quickly and accurately identify the causative pathogens of gastroenteritis, covering 22 total targets-13 bacterial, 5 viral, and 4 parasitic. Results are available in about an hour, with minimal hands-on manipulation required. No time-consuming, laborious, messy cultures or microscopy required, with higher sensitivity and specificity than traditional methods of GI pathogen testing. The QIAstat-Dx analyzer itself has also received full Health Canada approval, having previously been granted interim use authorization for SARS-CoV-2 testing.
