Our team had the pleasure to join the French Embassy delegation of business leaders from a wide array of industries such as aerospace, textiles, mining, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, ICT, and banking. Led by his excellency Mr. Michel Miraillet, French Ambassador to Ottawa, the committee, which meets regularly to advise the Embassy on economic matters in Canada, hosted their annual retreat in Kingston. During the event, our team presented an overview of Kingston and the city’s leading sectors of sustainable manufacturing and life sciences. Our team also discussed opportunities for French companies and newcomers in Kingston. Besides its proximity to the US and Quebec borders, Kingston is officially a bilingual city offering a familiar cultural environment, a bilingual workforce, and easier communication with local francophone communities. We appreciate our friendship with the team from the French Embassy in Canada and are excited to develop our relationship to support the technologies of the future. -- Invest in Canada | Investir au Canada Invest Ontario Global Affairs Canada | Affaires mondiales Canada #Innovation #Future #France #Ontario

I always enjoy attending The Battery Show Detroit promoting Kingston and Ontario as a place for investment. It was great to see some of our local companies IPG Photonics, Cyclic Materials, DuPont and Celanese represented at the show. Kingston has a long history of engineering, metallurgy and chemistry expertise to support the growing sector. It has been interesting how the conversations have evolved over the past few years with changing market demands. Even with the slowing demand, it is great to see continued interest in investment.
