Did you know our St. John's Marine Terminal has the capability to refuel two vessels at the same time? Our teams recently refuelled the USS McFaul and Atlantic Towing's Merlin with marine gas oil via our pipeline at this terminal. Investments in this terminal have improved harbour logistics and allowed for more opportunities like these to better serve our customers. Thank you to our customers for trusting us to continue providing a secure supply of energy – on land and on the water. 📍 : St. John's, NL

We believe summers are meant for making memories - that's why for the past 17 years we have sent kids from our local partner schools to Camp Glenburn, along with all the supplies needed for time away from home. ☀🏕 Thank you, YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick, for all you do to support the youth in our community.
Creating Lifelong Memories ⛺🛶 As summer winds down, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Irving Oil for making another season at Camp Glenburn unforgettable for 100 local children from our partner schools. Irving Oil’s generosity went above and beyond, with their teams packing camp bags full of essentials—sleeping bags, sunscreen, flashlights, glow sticks, and more—ensuring every camper had everything they needed for an amazing week away from home. We were also thrilled to have a group of Irving Oil employee volunteers visit Camp Glenburn on the Kingston Peninsula, surprising the children with fun games and frozen treats. 🍦🎉 For 17 years, Irving Oil has been a proud supporter of this meaningful tradition, giving children from across our community the chance to build lasting friendships, explore nature, and create memories that will last a lifetime. 🌲💛 Thank you, Irving Oil, for your continued partnership and for helping us make a positive impact on the lives of so many children. #YMCA #CampGlenburn #ThankYou #CommunitySupport #IrvingOil #funshine #CreatingMemories #SaintJohnNB

Memories of The Jigger 🐟 For Evelyn Tilley – a former “Irving girl” and daughter of a long-serving Irving Oil employee – the Irving connections run deep in Clarenville, NL. There, she grew up next to our Clarenville heating oil depot and service office, as her late father, Jack Moores, traversed the east coast of Newfoundland as an area retail supervisor for more than 30 years. She also eventually had a summer job fuelling customers at what would become our Clarenville Big Stop – then known as The Jigger, which her father helped develop in 1971. "I liked meeting the different people and learning about providing great customer service," says Evelyn, who recently retired as a social worker and still lives in Clarenville. "If you were an Irving girl, it meant something." The history of our Clarenville Big Stop and its community is now part of a new mural inside the restaurant – similar to displays across our network of Big Stop locations, where we welcome Professional Drivers, travellers and the local community with a taste of home on the road. "We have a lot of loyalty among our customers and our new mural demonstrates our commitment to our community," says Dean Madden, who operates the Clarenville and Goobies locations. "It's a bit of nostalgia for those who stop in." We're proud to celebrate our history as we mark 40 years of serving customers at our Big Stop locations. Thank you to our customers for continuing to visit our Big Stops along your journey. To learn more about our Big Stop locations, visit irvingoil.com/bigstops.

As we prepare to say goodbye to 127 summer students – our largest group to date – we were thrilled to surprise 10 randomly selected students with $1,000 bursaries at a summer celebration last week. "My summer with Irving Oil has been incredible," says Sydney Power, a Brand Ambassador and member of our summer crew, who was one of the lucky bursary winners. "I learned from my peers, mentors and even from myself about how I can connect my interests with my work." Congratulations to all the winners: Stephen Hurly, Sydney Power, Sayed Saker, Sam Beaulieu, Megan Hanley, Lauryn Scott, Evan Taylor, Rachel Hardy, Ethan Dever and Carter Greer. We're grateful to all of the students who joined us across our business this summer. We're inspired by your hard work and dedication as you continue to pursue your dreams.

40 years of Big Stops 🎉🍽️ On this day, August 17, in 1984, we celebrated the grand opening of our first Big Stop, located in Aulds Cove, NS. The celebrations included a performance by country music legend Hank Snow, hot air balloon rides and festivities with the community. It would mark the start of the tradition of serving a taste of home on the road for Professional Drivers, locals and travellers across our region – with 22 Big Stop restaurants now serving customers throughout Eastern Canada and Maine. "What I value most is the longstanding dedication of our employees," says Arnold Hurley, the current operator of our Aulds Cove Big Stop. "Our servers provide remarkable service. They feel worthy, recognized and seen – not just as a business, but as the backbone of our success." Thank you to the hardworking individuals who have been with us from the beginning and those who have joined us along the way – making these restaurants a cornerstone of our communities. Thank you for choosing Big Stop restaurants for 40 years – and here's to many more. Learn more about our Big Stops at irvingoil.com/bigstops.
