Our chapter provides members with a casual forum in which to exchange knowledge and ideas, develop their leadership and professional skills and advance information systems security. Our objective is to hold events that are technically focused and which involve experiential and knowledge-based activities where something useful and tangible is learned everytime. We provide a friendly and welcoming environment that makes it easy for people who have shared interests to learn something, meet like-minded people and have fun. Our members consist of both (ISC)² International members as well as those who simply have an interest in the information security field. Our chapter is focused on sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas among security professionals from the National Capital Region. Ultimately, we want to advance the field of information security by educating practitioners and the public at large on how to protect and defend against security threats.
