In Calgary, I had so many impactful meetings. I met Janice Tran, CEO of Kanin Energy and her adorable daughter Eleanor. Kanin Energy’s focus on waste heat for power generation is a game-changer. Our government supports such innovations through funding for organizations like Futurpreneur. Fiesta Filipino hosted a Filipino Entrepreneur Roundtable, bringing together 15 dynamic entrepreneurs. I also met with VL Energy and witnessed their impressive innovations firsthand. They're a small business making a big impact! Finally, I attended a roundtable with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, meeting and hearing from local small business owners. What a weekend! Quel week-end !

It was a pleasure hosting Minister Rechie Valdez at our office during Stampede! It was great to showcase what Kanin Energy is doing in waste heat to power and why this technology is an important tool for decarbonizing heavy industry! A special shoutout to Futurpreneur for organizing this impactful meeting. Their program was instrumental in catalyzing our success during our early days of business creation, and we’re grateful for their continued support and partnership. #WasteHeatToPower

Our Futurpreneur program is helping entrepreneurs like Janice, CEO of Kanin Energy start up & innovate. Their tech turns heat waste into electricity, & I got to see it firsthand today. One of my favourite parts of this visit? Meeting the future of STEM - her daughter, Eleanor!

Congrats to the full team — Kanin Energy, Tallgrass Energy, SAMUEL EPC, Turboden S.p.A., AES Ohio, and, of course, the University of Dayton — on another exciting milestone advancing the Washington County Courthouse waste heat to power project! In 2025, this project will reduce the University of Dayton’s carbon footprint by more than 70% and deliver around-the-clock decarbonized power!
There's a growing demand for decarbonized energy, and Tallgrass is committed to identifying existing resources, such as unutilized industrial heat, that can be used to produce decarbonized power. We’re confident we’ve identified the right team for this project and look forward to working with SAMUEL EPC >> READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/gAUHj8ep
