Did you know that Pennyfarthing Development Corp appointed Kerkhoff as GC on Harbour Cove on the south shore of False Creek in Vancouver during the 1980s? This project was highly controversial during the height of the union wars and was deemed ground zero for union VS. none-union worker disputes. Despite the unrest and massive picketing to enforce their commitment that no non-union building would ever be built in the city, the 304-unit project was ultimately completed in 1984 and continues to stand as a proud example of what Kerkhoff, together with its non-union trades and workers, achieved at 1450 Pennyfarthing Drive.

Construction progress continues to be strong as we move through sweltering July at the Sokana site in Penticton! Our dedicated site teams have been hard at work, having approximately 10,000 sq.ft. of concrete poured for the first level of slab & last week the site saw another concrete pour of around 3,200 sq.ft. The heat doesn't stop our teams from finishing the job!

Covering 28,000 sq.ft., the Squiala Community Centre is another GC Kerkhoff Project that completed in 2012 and is located in Chilliwack, BC. The centre included a tilt-up concrete gymnasium structure with wood-frame construction for the offices, lobbies, commercial kitchen, classrooms, computer room, and storage areas surrounding the central gymnasium.
