Oriole Landscaping Ltd. started in 1986 when a couple of neighbours needed a short term solution for summer employment to pay for university. 👷 George Urvari and peter guinane had few skills, no equipment and no idea what was involved in running a business. But they did have was curiosity and a good work ethic. As the end of university neared, they were riding the wave of the late 1980s building boom and had built a business with equipment and staff. They were having fun and making money and chose to make a go of a year round venture just as the 1990 recession started. It was hard work for about four years, and not what they thought it would be. They were stuck as job owners, not so much business owners. The only plan Oriole had from there was to sink or swim. Peter and George started taking the business more seriously and joined Landscape Ontario — networking and learning was our modus operandi and growth and profit were the result. ➡️ Swipe through this carousel to learn more about how George and Peter prepared their business for the next step and how that has enabled them to move on to other projects. #LandscapeOntario #LOMembers #LandscapeProfessionals

2024 AWARD WINNER 🏆🔥🌾 This project by ELP Landscapes is a 2024 Award of Excellence winner in the Residential Construction category ($100,000 - $250,000). The homeowners were looking for an oasis to escape everyday city life. Their newly built home needed a resort vibe to entertain guests and children, and to have some rest and recreation time when they want to reflect in the backyard. The resort-styled backyard was built to bring modern style and function to maximize the large space while keeping the ‘resort at home feel’. For greenery, they installed botanical gardens in concrete planters and on the fence line with lush green trees for privacy. This hidden resort oasis can be enjoyed all year long, in many ways from summer spa parties to autumn dinners and winter snow forts. Congratulations to everyone at ELP Landscapes on this beautiful project! 👏 👉 See all 2024 Awards Winners: https://lnkd.in/gPWHxQ3v #LOAwards2024 #LandscapeOntario

In the highly competitive world of professional landscaping, the temptation to lower prices in order to secure projects is ever-present. In his more than 40 years of experience in the business, however, Glenn Curtis (We're Hiring ) has discovered that selling based on value — the quality and service you provide, as well as the long-term benefits of the work to the homeowner — is a far more profitable and sustainable approach. In this article, he shares strategies that he has used for his own business, Plantenance Landscape Group 👉 More details on the website: https://lnkd.in/g3x7iB_X #LandscapeOntario #BusinessOwners #LandscapeProfessionals #Entrepreneurs #LandscapeBusiness
