🏃♂️💪 Our CEO, DJ Cunningham, took on the Dyslexia Canada awareness run virtually from St. John's, NL! While attending a local conference, DJ, who is personally impacted by dyslexia, ran in support of Dyslexia Canada’s mission to raise awareness and help empower individuals with dyslexia across Canada. 🧠❤️ DJ joined a passionate community supporting the cause in the 2024 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon events, which raised over $7,600! We’re honored to be part of the two-year update on Ontario's Right to Read Report through our partnership with Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB). In response to the alarming number of students with reading challenges UCDSB has taken significant steps to address these gaps, including a collaboration with LEARNstyle to provide intensive, personalized support. Read full report here. https://ow.ly/sfQl50ThEsj Together, we’ve implemented a Tier 3 reading intervention for older students, using the Corrective Reading program. Through daily virtual one-on-one sessions, our coaches have been working to build student confidence and literacy skills. One inspiring story from this initiative is "N," a Grade 9 student who initially struggled with reading at a Grade 4 level and was disengaged from school. Through the Corrective Reading program, N began to gain confidence and now proudly says, "Learning to read makes me feel very happy. I am proud of what I can do now." By empowering students like N, LEARNstyle and UCDSB are working to ensure that every student has the right to read and succeed. #RightToRead #StudentSuccess #LEARNstyle #EducationForAll #UCDSB #ReadingIntervention
