Dr. Cindy Finn, Director General of the Lester B. Pearson School Board, has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Canadian Association of School System Administrators (CASSA). The award is intended to recognize any present or recent CASSA member who has demonstrated outstanding ability and leadership. Award winners are selected using different criteria including what they have done to advance educational administration or education in the province, territory or in the board they serve. As part of the Youth Climate Change initiative funded by the Ministry of Education, students from diverse vocational training programs at the Verdun Adult and Career Centre (VACC) came together to lend their expertise and passion to the Oasis project.
