It's becoming clear that as women investors are growing their wealth, they're also looking for this type of financial advisor. An advisor that personalizes their advise tailored to their client, treating them how they want to be treated. This is where women advisors can use their strengths to their advantage. In this article in Yahoo Life by Coryanne Hicks titled "What Women Want from Financial Advisors" she captures a number of key takeaways in three sections: 1️⃣ Treat Her as An Individual 2️⃣ Ask, Don't Assume 3️⃣ Give Her Time to Process This is all based on an Oliver Wyman report that "points out, this will take more than just falling back on reductive stereotypes and "pinkified" marketing tactics." Yes! 🙌 We highlighted Laura Hanichak Gregg's quote which we thought was perfect. Her quote goes on to say "The expectations of professional women are quite different than a woman managing legacy wealth or one that has inherited wealth through a transfer" 💯 You can read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gRz6HeDv -- ✏ We offer workshops specifically tailored for female financial advisors. 💻 Visit our website to learn more.

About us
Separate the professional from the personal, we're told. Financial advisors are building connections with clients and talking about their hopes, dreams and goals, it's hard to keep it just professional. At that point, you are an integral part of their family, rooting for their success and there for them through the challenges. Engaging with your peers should be the same way. Growth doesn't only happen in boardrooms, meetings or educational webinars. Inspiration can strike when talking about your favourite books, podcasts, shows or even your night-time skincare regimen. At Disco, we are not all business. We're here to elevate female advisors together -- Let's talk shop. Life. Family. Wins. Losses. Travel. And anything else in between. Let's grow together. Maybe with a glass in hand...

This is staggering, and the opportunity couldn't be more clear for advisors. This article in Forbes Advisor UK by Jo Thornhill had a number of great points recapping Hargreaves Lansdown's "Why Women Invest" study, but it was their chart on the main concerns of women who are yet to take the first step in investing that really grabbed our attention. Jo puts it simply by saying "The results in this study also found many women lack confidence around investing, with one quarter saying they don’t know what to invest in and 19% saying they don’t know how to invest." This is where advisors can take the lead, breaking down the barriers and making financial literacy less intimidating, helping women develop that confidence. The numbers suggest that women investors are on the rise, so the opportunity is there. Thank you Jo for highlighting the study. We ❤️ everything about this article by Jensyn Hallett, CFRE, MS in Little Rock Soirée about "How Women Are Building Wealth With Purpose". From telling her origin story about her grandmother's impact on her life leading to her relationship with money, to the many initiatives she's taken on as a passionate financial activist, entrepreneur and impact investor, it all just resonated with us. In the article she talks about 3 key points: 1. Women & Economic Transformation 2. Making Money Moves with Purpose 3. Meeting Challenges Her closing remarks about women having the power to secure their own prosperity and contribute to a more equitable and sustainable world, couldn't be more true. Thank you for the article Jensyn. 🙌 You can read it here: https://lnkd.in/g_3piukk . . . . . . . . . . . #advisor #advisors #wealthmanagement #womeninwealth #womeninbusiness #womeninfinance #femaleleadership #femaleempowerment

It's tempting to want to post a really obvious call to action at the end of your marketing, but doing it can pose two issues: 1️⃣ Nobody wants to be sold hard to. 2️⃣ It can come off as a little desperate. Whether it's an ad, content or social media you want to drop subtle hints at the end, and let your prospects choose to do business with you, rather than feel forced to. The one simple piece of advice on how to do that, is to frame your call to action as a suggestion to the audience to remember. That way when they're ready to purchase, they'll be happy to do so. "If you're interested in..." "To learn more..." "You can sign up at..." These are all ways to nudge, rather than push. You're building a relationship, just like dating, you don't want to come off to strong, too fast. It's a turn off. . . . . . . . . . . #advisor #advisors #wealthmanagement #womeninwealth #femaleentrepreneurs #womeninbusiness #calltoaction

Sometimes you can't deny when the time is right. In this great article by Laurie Stack titled "Breaking barriers: the time is now for women in finance" you learn a bit more as to why. From the edge and advantage that women have, to the reasons why they should go into finance, she covers quite a bit. But it's this quote around women preferring to work with other women that really caught our attention, and we wanted to celebrate. 👏 You can read the full article here in AdvisorHub https://lnkd.in/ghBpCFWM . . . . . . . . . #advisor #advisors #wealthmanagement #womeninwealth #femaleleadership #womeninbusiness #thetimeisnow

Many advisors know the unique strength that they bring to clients, but struggle to find the opportunity to really communicate it more broadly. In the end it comes down to 3 things: 1️⃣ Figuring out how to market yourself in your unique style 2️⃣ Having a strategy that you're held accountable to 3️⃣ Making sure you avoid falling into the "sea of sameness" The first step is knowing what you ultimately want, then finding people who will help you achieve it. It's not easy, but sometimes a workshop is a good way to start thinking differently about your practice, and where you want to take it. We offer a workshop specifically created for women in finance, because we know the challenges you face and the opportunities that exist. Going above and beyond for your clients can be whatever you want it to be. At the end it comes down to one thing: Caring. Remember, the gesture is ALWAYS more important that the "thing" itself. People can buy whatever they want (for the most part). The fact that you went out of your way to do something nice for them, means more than whatever you ended up actually doing for them. . . . . . . . . . . #advisor #advisors #wealthmanagement #womeninwealth #femaleleaders #femaleleadership #womeninbusiness #empathy #give

We ❤️ love hearing women striving and thriving through adversity to ultimately become successful, which is why to hear Tricia Carter Wood tell her story about transitioning from one job to another in Barron's was so inspiring. Being an founder and advisor at Haber Wealth Management we're sure has brought so many lessons along the way. Another point of hers that we couldn't agree more with is this one: Always keep in mind that if you’re in this business for the right reasons, you’re really not selling anything—you’re taking care of people. And if you can take care of them better than anyone else, you’re going to be very successful. Because clients who know they’re taken care of easily refer you to other clients.
